Winter Wonderland

It has been a real winter this year. We've had snow since November and it doesn't show signs of leaving any time soon.

I think Winter gets a bad rap.

Sure, it's cold, but it's also so pretty. If you actually stop to look at it - really look at it - it's gorgeous. The subtle colouring and sharp lights and darks. Everything is pared down to the essentials, like a Japanese print.

So, the next time you find yourself groaning about the snow and cold be sure to dress up nice and warm and go out and enjoy it instead.

Good observations, and yes, winter is so pretty. Still, I'm looking forward to getting out of Dodge next month!

Right you are chrissy coole.
Maybe that's is another reason I am enjoying it as much as I am. The possibility of a break some where warm for a few weeks does make it easier to bear.

I do like looking at the pictures of winter...from inside...where it is semi warm. I have on two pairs of socks, long johns, two wool sweaters, two scarves, and a hat (intermittently) -- I'm not exaggerating. The snow is nice, the extreme temps. are not. Run, run, from Dodge.
